About Elieffekt


What is Elieffekt?

Elieffekt, or ELI, is a Finnish fashion brand that specializes in ethical Finnish clothing. We offer handmade fashion, often made from recycled materials. We believe in sustainable fashion and think that investing in quality, long-lasting clothing to reduce textile waste is a way to support the earth. At ELI, we stand by the “support your local” mentality, prioritizing Finnish craftsmanship and materials.

Where are all the clothes made?

All our items are handmade with care in Finland. The fabrics we use are sourced from small Finnish businesses, and our recycled materials come from various second hand shops and donations, contributing to more sustainable fashion practices.

How do I place an order?

You can easily place an order through our website. For custom clothing orders, feel free to contact us directly via info@elieffekt.com. More info about custom orders here.


What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Paypal, Maestro and Shop Pay as payment methods. For custom orders we send an itemized bill by email.


I made a mistake on an order, can I change it?

If you have any trouble regarding an order, please get in touch with us as soon as possible at info@elieffekt.com.

Shipping and delivery


Where do you ship?

Currently, we only offer shipping within Finland. 

What's the processing time?

Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days. 

For custom orders, the expected processing time is between 2-4 weeks, depending on the specifics of the order.


How long does the shipping take?

1-4 business days for Finland. 


What are the shipping costs?

Free for domestic (within Finland) orders.


How can I track my order?

When you have made an order, you will receive a tracking number for your order via email. You can track your order via Posti website. 

Returns and refunds

What's the return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery.

How do I return an item?

To initiate a return or exchange, please contact us at info@elieffekt.com within the 30-day window and we'll give you further instructions. Items must be in their original condition.

Did the item arrive faulty or incorrect?

If your item arrived faulty or incorrect, please contact us at info@elieffekt.com. We will assist you as soon as possible.

What materials are used?

All the materials used in our products are listed on the specific product page.

The ELIEFFEKT 'UPCYCLED' collection items are always made from recycled materials, reducing textile waste and contributing to Finnish sustainable fashion. 

The ELI 'ORIGINAL' collection is made from scratch, with fabrics sourced from small Finnish businesses.


How should I care for my ELIEFFEKT clothing?

You should always handle your ELIEFFEKT item with love. Think of it as a house for your body! Wash it only when necessary, max 40°C, and avoid bleach. Please visit our clothing care guide for full details on caring for your items.


Do you offer custom sizes or alterations?

All our products are 1-of-1, but if you would like a different size or custom alterations, please reach out to us at info@elieffekt.com, and we will work with you to create the perfect item.

Sustainability and ethics


What is Elieffekt doing to be sustainable?

By designing clothing that creates minimal fabric waste. By incorporating upcycling techniques, we ensure that any excess materials are reused or recycled for future collections. We also make sure all our fabric scraps are repurposed into smaller products or accessories, ensuring as little as possible goes to waste. 


We focus on creating high-quality and long-lasting designs that are meant to be worn for years, reducing the need for disposable fast-fashion. Our one-of-a-kind pieces are designed to be timeless, encouraging customers to invest in clothing that they will cherish forever.

We do everything we can to use eco-friendly packaging. We avoid plastic and use recyclable cardboard. Instead of plastic bags, we use recyclable paper wraps to keep your items safe during the shipping process. We want to ensure that our environmental footprint remains as low as possible. 

Repair and recycle program

We offer a repair program for ELI 'ORIGINAL' collection items, ensuring your clothes remain wearable for years. If your ELI 'ORIGINAL' item starts to show wear and tear, you can contact us at info@elieffekt.com with the subject line 'REPAIR' and tell us your worries. We will get back to you ASAP. After studying the problem, you can send the garment to us for repair by following instructions.

Additionally, we provide a 10% discount if you return any of your ELIEFFEKT items to us for recycling, instead of discarding them. 


Are products ethically made?

Yes, all our products are made with the utmost attention to ethical practices. Right now, ELIEFFEKT is a one-man show, so every item is handmade by our owner, ELI. We want to ensure that our materials are sourced responsibly. We source our materials from local suppliers and use a combination of recycled fabrics and responsibly sourced new materials. This reduces the need for long-distance shipping, lowering the carbon footprint of our production. 

We value transparency and will always be open about how our clothes are made. By offering slow fashion—creating quality, durable and unique custom clothing—we encourage conscious consumption and promote a more sustainable and ethical approach to fashion. We believe that finding personal style and unique clothing will be longer in use and truly loved.
